Moisture Distribution in the Walls of Wooden Buildings and Results of Experimental Measurements on an Actual Construction Site Using theEUROPANEL® Building System

This article presents the results of extensive experimental measurements of moisture diffusion through the exterior structures of a wooden building, with the aim of verifying its safety. The building is elevated above ground on ground screws, and the foundation slab, walls, and roof claddingare constructed from panels of similar material composition but finished differently with interior and exterior layers. The experiment is now in its third year; the article summarizes the measurement results for 2019 and 2020.

Measurements have shown that there is no water vapor condensation or excessive moisture absorption in the wood of the floor, wall, and roof panels.
