Europanel is heading to Mars

EUROPANEL s.r.o. has symbolically set off for Mars. As part of a NASA public campaign, the company’s name was included among more than a million names that were inscribed on chips installed aboard the Curiosity rover of the Mars Science Laboratory mission.

Europanel is heading to Mars

The Mars Science Laboratory mission, led by the Curiosity rover, landed on Mars in 2012. Part of the mission’s preparations included a unique opportunity for the general public and organizations from around the world to have their names placed on special silicon chips that were attached to the rover’s body. NASA’s goal was to increase public engagement in interplanetary research and symbolically connect Earth with future discoveries on Mars.

Among the more than 1.2 million names inscribed was also the name EUROPANEL s.r.o. These chips continue to travel across the surface of the Red Planet alongside Curiosity to this day.

For our company, this is a heartwarming and inspiring symbol—the innovation and technology that guide us in our daily work are not just about materials and structures. They are also about the courage to explore, push boundaries, and look beyond the horizon. And that is precisely what connects EUROPANEL to the Curiosity mission.

This fact serves as a reminder to us that even seemingly small steps can be part of great stories. And sometimes, a single name can travel much farther than we could ever imagine.
