In the first presentation, Mr. Aleš Bubeníček from Stormsys s.r.o. discussed modern principles for protecting wooden buildings from lightning and demonstrated a lightning protection system featuring a down conductor routed along the surface of OSB panels in a polystyrene facade, with grounding via ground screws. Stormsys offers to prepare quotes for these types of lightning protection systems for all participants and other interested parties, and can also arrange for their installation.
The second presentation was delivered by Mr. Pavel Šenkýř from STOMIX, spol s r.o., who introduced the audience to the STOMIX product line of certified thermal insulation systems, with an emphasis on the system using ALFAFIX PUR polyurethane adhesive designed for insulating buildings constructed with EUROPANEL. STOMIX invites all interested construction companies to attend training sessions on the installation of its insulation systems, which are held at the manufacturer’s headquarters at the beginning of each year. Dates can be arranged directly with Mr. Šenkýř.
Mr. Adam Klega from Heat Energy s.r.o. presented the Heatflow floor heating system with a fermacell thermal storage floor panel. This system was developed for use in EUROPANEL homes built on ground screws. Heat Energy prepares price quotes and handles the actual installation of heating systems for construction companies.
Mr. Klaus Křeválek from Fermacell GmbH presented the product range, new products, and the Fermacell database of professional tips, which describe Fermacell materials and their use in the construction of various building structures.
Mr. Jiří Houžvík from BAYO.S SE presented the brand’s ground screws and installation equipment for ground screws. In the second part of his presentation, he explained the exact procedure from requesting ground screws through conducting soil bearing capacity tests to their installation.
Mr. Stanislav Jirák from tremco illbruck s.r.o. also provided information on new products. He demonstrated the capabilities of hybrid sealants to everyone present and offered consultation services for sealing and caulking problematic joints.
Mr. Luděk Liška presented on behalf of EUROPANEL s.r.o. and introduced the audience to ten new products from EUROPANEL for 2016. Among the most important is the expansion of the product range to include 2650 mm long panels, which are crucial for building houses on ground screws. Another new addition to the product range is a pressure-molded plastic pad for foundation sleepers, designed to level out unevenness in concrete foundation slabs. Also presented were a catalog of thermally assessed exterior walls, floors, and roof cladding; the EUROPANEL akustik software developed by EUROPANEL for calculating the airborne sound insulation of exterior walls; and a new fire resistance classification based on the results of fire tests.
This concluded the theoretical portion of the EUROPANEL 2016 Conference, followed by a visit to the under-construction EUROPANEL experimental house at the company’s headquarters. Upon completion of the house in 2017, all partners will be invited to visit it as part of the grand opening, and of course, after the grand opening, it will be available to all our partners at any time for meetings with their clients.
