Beware of Europanel knockoffs!

Unfortunately, even in the field of wood construction, companies are beginning to piggyback on well-known brands. Be sure to check the origin of the panels and insist on panels from verified sources.

Dear customers, builders, investors, and friends of EUROPANEL.
Unfortunately, even in the field of wood construction, companies are beginning to exploit well-known brands. We have already encountered several instances where customers were supplied with panels of unclear origin instead of Europanel. These were panels “manufactured” somewhere in a garage or panels that failed to obtain certification under Act No. 22/1997 Coll. and are being illegally imported from Romania, Bulgaria, etc.

The worst case we are currently handling with an unfortunate investor involves an Ostrava businessman who collected 700,000 CZK from an investor for a Europanel shell construction, “manufactured” the panels himself, and built the house using them. His client uncovered this fraud and is now worried that the house will not pass final inspection; meanwhile, he has lost his eligibility for a CZK 250,000 subsidy from the Green Savings program and, on top of that, fears the house might collapse. In Slovakia, I personally saw panels from Romania that were falling apart as they were unloaded from a truck.

Dear investors, you can easily recognize EUROPANEL brand panels by our logo, which is printed on each panel in blue ink with a font height of 100 mm, appearing once or twice depending on the panel’s size. In addition, each panel has its designation, dimensions, and production batch printed on the polystyrene core. If you are unsure about the origin of the material for your construction project, please contact us; we will conduct an inspection directly at your construction site.
